St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Downtown Indianapolis
2023 will mark the 41st anniversary of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade with traditional Irish floats, balloons, marching bands, and Irish dancers in Downtown Indianapolis. The World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Hot Springs, Arkansas, remains a beloved spectacle that draws thousands to Bridge Street every March 17. Christopher McDonald will serve as this year’s Master of Ceremonies and take us through an inspiring open concert by The Molly Ringwalds, followed by an evening concert by Village People on March 18.

Saint. St. Patrick’s Day Parades Chicago
Chicago has two parades to commemorate St. Patrick’s Day: one downtown and another along the Chicago River on March 11. Both events are organized by Plumbers Local 130 UA, which hosts an annual green dyeing ceremony for Chicago River visitors every March 11. They literally dye the river green this week, how crazy is that??
The South Side Irish Parade was first organized in 1979 and will be held again this year on March 12. An official Queen of the Parade will also be present as part of this annual event.

San Antonio is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day twice this year! On March 17, the San Antonio River Walk started dyeing the river green with 25 Gallons of dye to transform it into “the River Shannon.” After watching this amazing transformation take place at La Villita Historical Village for fun-filled activities and live music performances, everyone can head over to Bud Light St. Patrick’s Festival for even more festivities!
On March 18, the Bud Light St. Patrick’s River Parade takes place and features 12 Irish-themed riverboat floats and bagpipers, other entertainers, and others cruising along its route.
New York City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
The New York City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade has a proud tradition dating back to March 17, 17614 – two centuries before the United States signed its Declaration of Independence! Every year on March 17, this annual procession runs along Fifth Avenue, beginning at East 44th Street and ending at East 79th Street. Fun fact: If March 17 falls on an observance day, the Parade will be postponed until March 16 to observe religious ceremonies.
On March 12, 2013, Somerville, New Jersey, will host its 30th annual St. Patrick’s Parade again, with thousands of spectators lining Main Street. Grand Marshal Ed Murphy will lead a band and bagpipe bands, marching bands, youth groups, and civic organizations for this festive event.
Norfolk is excited to host the St. Patrick’s Day Parade again this year.
On March 18, Norfolk will hold their Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade! This major event in the Virginia coastal city marks the first Parade after the Covid pandemic.
The Parade’s theme will include bands, clowns, cars, and floats. After the festivities have concluded in Ocean View’s Columbian Club, attendees can gather for live entertainment and food trucks from around the area.
The Quad Cities Grand Parade XXXVII
The Quad Cities Grand Parade XXXVII is known as the sole interstate St. Patrick’s Day Parade in America. It takes place on March 18 each year, starting in Rock Island, Illinois, before traversing Centennial Bridge and concluding its journey at Davenport, Iowa’s downtown area.
The line-up includes bands, Irish performers, dance groups, and families. After the Grand Parade is a Post Parade Party on RiverCenter in Davenport which includes live Irish dancing and music and trophy presentations to the Parade’s top performers. Memberships can be purchased for $15 at the gate; children 15 and younger with adults accompanying them are admitted free.

St. Patrick’s Day/Evacuation day Parade will return with its full route after reducing it this year due to COVID epidemic concerns. The procession starts at Broadway Station and concludes at Andrew Station.
